Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America is seeking a swing-shift Production Lead to supervise a production line and ensure schedules and GMP standards are met. The role includes leading a team, configuring equipment, and maintaining safety and quality on a Mon-Fri schedule with potential Saturdays, starting at 4:00pm.

Starting pay is $24.00/hour with a $0.50 shift differential. Benefits include insurance from day one, paid STD/LTD/Life, vacation, sick time, a 401(k) with company matching up to 4.5%,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• 6+ months leadership experience required.
• Basic knowledge of basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• HACCP and food safety concepts knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and ensure all make-ready functions are completed before production.
• Oversee production team to meet quality, sanitation, safety, and scheduling standards (GMPs).
• Assign work and monitor progress to meet quality and schedule requirements.
• Maintain discipline and issue warnings as needed.
• Prepare daily activity reports ensuring accuracy.
• Monitor blending of raw materials to maintain formula consistency.
• Ensure inventory levels are adequate for scheduled production.
• Train and evaluate employees and recommend improvements.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Suggest improvements in production methods and personnel use.
