Summary

Milgard Windows and Doors is a leading manufacturer in the window and door industry, renowned for our commitment to quality and innovation. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Assembler to join our Fiberglass Doors Department on the swing shift, in Tacoma, WA. This role is vital in ensuring the production of high-quality fiberglass doors for our customers. The Production Assembler in the Fiberglass Doors Department is responsible for assembling fiberglass door components according to specifications and production requirements. This role demands precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards throughout the assembly process.

The hourly compensation starts at $22.00. Plus, $2.00 shift differential for working the swing shift. You will work Monday through Friday, starting at 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble fiberglass door components following detailed specifications and production guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain tools and machinery required for assembly.
  • Inspect assembled doors for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Report any production issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and product quality.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret production specifications and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to handle assembly tools safely.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software programs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Flexibility to work the swing shift and overtime as required.
