Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie in Stockton, CA is seeking a Machine Operator to run assigned machinery, meet production goals, and uphold quality and safety standards on a swing shift (3:30pm – 12:00am).

You will set up and operate equipment, perform quality inspections, log data in SAP and Kronos, operate a forklift, and help maintain a clean, 6S compliant work area; PIT/Combi-Lift certification will be provided at hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• PIT/Combi-Lift certification required or to be certified at hire.
• Six months manufacturing experience or training.
• Knowledge of raw materials, processes, quality control and distribution.
• Commitment to safety and a safe work environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Reads production drawings and understands related information.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot machinery; perform minor repairs.
• Conduct quality inspections and verify conformance to drawings.
• Maintain accurate production records; data entry in SAP and Kronos.
• Operate forklift to retrieve material and support production flow.
• Maintain 6S standards and keep a clean work environment.
