Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a hands-on Optical Dicing Operator in Saxonburg, PA to support precision manufacturing. You will perform the optical dicing process and all sizing steps to a 0% reject standard, ensuring product quality and throughput meet departmental goals.

You will work with the team to meet delivery targets, improve processes under supervision, and follow all policies and procedures. A high school diploma, plus experience with MES and networked PC systems, is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with networked PC-based systems and MES is preferred.
• Ability to interpret product drawings and meet tight time schedules.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs hands-on operation of optical dicing process
• All optical sizing steps performed per procedure to a 0% reject standard.
• Quality of product and throughput rate meets or exceeds departmental goals.
• Product quality meets internal and external customer specifications.
• Works with the team to meet delivery goals
• Improve processes under the guidance of supervision.
• All steps are performed per policy and procedure

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with networked PC based computer systems.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) .

Skills

• Capable of applying basic math to product activities
• Ability to understand and interpret product drawings (blueprints)
• Ability to meet tight time schedules
• Familiarity with precision optics manufacturing and metrology

Working Conditions

• This role is 100% onsite
• Highly repetitive working conditions
• Swing shift M-F 3:00pm - 11:30pm PST shift deferential applies (Training for this position will occur on dayshift until fully trained M-F 8am-4:30pm)

Physical Requirements

• On occasion be able to lift 40lbs.
• Long periods of standing/walking
