Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a dedicated operator for the optical dicing process. The role requires hands-on operation, adherence to procedures, and ensuring 0% rejects in optical sizing steps.

You will collaborate with the team to meet delivery goals while maintaining high product quality and process improvements under supervision. The position is onsite in a precision optics manufacturing environment, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and meeting tight timelines while following established ISO

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with networked PC based computer systems preferred.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) desirable.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs hands-on operation of optical dicing process
• All optical sizing steps performed per procedure to a 0% reject standard.
• Quality of product and throughput rate meets or exceeds departmental goals.
• Product quality meets internal and external customer specifications.
• Works with the team to meet delivery goals
• Improve processes under the guidance of supervision.
• All steps are performed per policy and procedure

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with networked PC based computer systems.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) .

Skills

• Capable of applying basic math to product activities
• Ability to understand and interpret product drawings (blueprints)
• Ability to meet tight time schedules
• Familiarity with precision optics manufacturing and metrology

Working Conditions

• This role is 100% onsite
• Highly repetitive working conditions
• Swing shift M-F 3:00pm - 11:30pm PST shift deferential applies (Training for this position will occur on dayshift until fully trained M-F 8am-4:30pm)

Physical Requirements

• On occasion be able to lift 40lbs.
• Long periods of standing/walking

Safety Requirements
