Job summary

Prestage Farms is seeking a hands-on Farm Manager to oversee contract and company-owned wean-to-finish sites. You will train and supervise staff, conduct initial pig health and inventory assessments, and drive weekly market projections with a focus on production quality and efficiency.

The role requires strong communication, organized workflow, and prior swine management experience to ensure adherence to best practices and timely maintenance across sites.

Qualifications

• Prior swine management experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Train & manage farm staff to ensure proper production practices are followed.
• Initial inventory & assessment of newly placed pigs.
• Marketing - weekly projections & selection of pigs for market.
• Work with maintenance dept. to ensure all site maintenance is current.
• Ability to troubleshoot & adjust ventilation.
• Accessing health issues and the ability to perform on farm diagnostics.
