Job summary

Prestage Farms is seeking a Service Manager to oversee contract and company-owned wean-to-finish sites within an assigned territory. This role reports to the Production Manager and focuses on production practices, staff training, and site performance.

Responsibilities include inventory and pig assessments, weekly marketing projections, coordinating with maintenance, troubleshooting ventilation, and on-farm diagnostics to ensure health and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent organizational and time management.
• Prior swine management experience.
• Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Train and manage farm staff to ensure proper production practices.
• Initial inventory and assessment of newly placed pigs.
• Marketing – weekly projections and selection of pigs for market.
• Work with maintenance dept. to ensure all site maintenance is current.
• Ability to troubleshoot and adjust ventilation.
• Accessing health issues and the ability to perform on-farm diagnostics.
