Job summary

Iowa Select Farms is seeking a full-time, on-site role at our Iowa research sites to support daily animal care and research operations. Responsibilities include feeding, health monitoring, facility maintenance, data entry, and adherence to bio-security and safety policies.

The role requires strong attention to protocol and collaboration with the Health and Care team. Applicants should be prepared for physically demanding work, weekend availability, and local travel as needed to support research

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Previous swine production operations experience desired
• Ability to follow research protocols and procedures

Responsibilities

• Care and management of animals to ensure well-being, including feeding and monitoring daily health.
• Maintain facilities: ensure ventilation, climate control, cleanliness and organization between groups.
• Assist with pig intake, sorting, and data recording per protocol.
• Oversee loading/unloading, vaccinations, and medication administration per ISF protocols.
• Monitor health, report issues to supervisor, and perform euthanasia as required by protocol.
• Ensure safety and PPE usage, maintain training and compliance with policies.
