Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking an Animal Caretaker in Kansas to attend to and care for pigs at our swine facilities. On-the-job training is provided and prior experience is not required.

The role involves monitoring feeds, barn conditions, administering vaccines, handling sows and piglets where applicable, and loading/unloading pigs as scheduled. Physical demands are substantial, including lifting up to 100 pounds and exposure to farm environments.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required.
• Basic math skills
• Flexible and able to work on assigned weekends (Saturday/Sunday)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful, but not required
• Must be able to work in farm environment

Responsibilities

• Monitoring feed quality and water supply.
• Monitoring barn environment and ventilation systems.
• Treating and vaccinating sick animals as necessary.
• Breeding sows (if placed on sow farm).
• Processing piglets (if placed on sow farm).
• Loading and unloading pigs as scheduled.
