Pipestone Careers is seeking a Filter Compliance Technician for swine facilities in rural South Dakota. You will oversee biosecurity audits and maintain air filtration systems to protect herd health and prevent disease transmission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years livestock experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biosecurity audits of interior and exterior swine facilities to ensure protocols are followed and cleanliness is maintained.
• Perform daily audits of ventilation and filtration systems, inspect attic spaces, and address backdrafts or faults.
• Ensure adherence to airlock protocols and disinfect/ downtime room procedures.
• Monitor and manage equipment and supplies in biosecure areas to ensure readiness.
• Collaborate with on-site technicians and participate in monthly audits with leaders to review processes and decisions.
