Job summary
Abercrombie & Fitch Co. seeks an Associate Designer to manage the full design and development process for swim and intimates, from concept to flat sketch to final garment. You will support trend research, mood boards, fabric and trim selection, and fitting approvals.
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design with 1+ year of apparel design experience is required. Proficiency in PLM and Adobe Suite, strong presentation skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or related field, with 1+ years hands-on apparel design experience.
- Deep understanding of design and production processes, focus on Swim/Intimates preferred.
- Proficiency in PLM and Adobe Suite.
Responsibilities
- Drive the daily design process including trend research and mood board creation, sketching in Illustrator, fabric and trim selection and development, fitting and approving final garments.
- Manage multiple seasons and product lifecycles for the swim department.
- Research global market to ensure product aligns with trends and brand voice.
- Present line to senior leadership and align team with ideas and trends.
