Job summary

Energy Center-Manhattan Pool is seeking a dependable, hands-on Swimming Pool Construction Technician to join our construction crew. Prior pool-building experience is not required; if you have experience in construction, concrete, hardscaping, carpentry, or another trades, we can teach you pool-specific skills.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or skilled trade experience preferred.
• Experience with concrete, pavers, hardscaping, or carpentry is a plus.
• Familiarity with common construction tools and terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Dependable attendance and reliable work habits.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying Kansas weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn pool construction techniques, equipment, and new technology.
• Ability to work effectively and communicate with other members of the construction crew.
• Willingness to work overtime when project schedules require it.

Responsibilities

• Assist with layout, measuring, excavation, and site preparation.
• Build and assemble pool walls, forms, structural components, and rebar.
• Assist with concrete, fiberglass, and vinyl liner pool installations.
• Learn to install pool plumbing, pumps, filters, heaters, and related equipment.
• Assist with tile, decking, pavers, and finish work.
• Read and follow project plans, measurements, and specifications.
• Safely operate hand and power tools used in construction.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites.
• Work closely with the crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards.
• Take on additional technical and leadership responsibilities as your skills and experience grow.

Full-Time | Year-Round | $22 - $27 per hour

Energy Center-Manhattan Pool has been designing and building custom swimming pools for more than 25 years. Our team constructs concrete, fiberglass, and vinyl liner pools, with much of the work completed by our own crews so we can maintain quality throughout the entire project.

We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Swimming Pool Construction Technician to join our construction team.

Prior pool-building experience is not required. If you have experience in construction, concrete, hardscaping, landscape construction, carpentry, or another hands-on trade, we can teach you the pool-specific skills and systems. We're looking for someone who is reliable, takes pride in quality work, enjoys learning new skills, and wants to build a long-term career in a specialized trade.

What You'll Do

As part of our construction crew, you'll work on multiple stages of swimming pool installation, including:

• Assist with layout, measuring, excavation, and site preparation
• Build and assemble pool walls, forms, structural components, and rebar
• Assist with concrete, fiberglass, and vinyl liner pool installations
• Learn to install pool plumbing, pumps, filters, heaters, and related equipment
