Job summary

Energy Center-Manhattan Pool in Manhattan, Kansas is hiring a Hardscape Specialist to join our growing construction team. You’ll lay pavers, install decking, and support concrete and landscape projects on residential outdoor spaces.

Experience with swimming pools is not required; prior hardscape or concrete work is valued. We offer year-round full-time employment with competitive pay, health/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, and opportunities to advance as you refine

Qualifications

• Experience in hardscaping, paver installation, concrete, or landscape construction.
• Ability to read measurements and follow project plans with quality workmanship.

Hardscape Specialist

Energy Center-Manhattan Pool
Manhattan, Kansas | Full-Time | Year-Round
$23-$27 per hour, based on experience

Energy Center-Manhattan Pool has been designing and building custom swimming pools and outdoor spaces for more than 20 years. Our projects involve far more than swimming pools. From site preparation and structural work to pavers, decking, concrete, and finish work, our team helps transform residential properties from the ground up.

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Hardscape Specialist to bring their construction and craftsmanship skills to our team.

Experience building swimming pools is not required. If you have experience installing pavers, working with concrete, building outdoor spaces, completing landscape construction, or performing similar skilled work, your experience may transfer directly into this role.

You'll have the opportunity to apply your existing skills while learning the specialized techniques involved in custom swimming pool and outdoor construction.

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience and project needs, your work may include:

• Install and assist with pavers, decking, and other hardscape materials
• Perform concrete-related and finish work
• Assist with layout, grading, site preparation, and project measurements
• Build and prepare forms and structural components
• Assist with swimming pool construction and installation
• Read and follow plans, specifications, and project measurements
• Safely operate hand and power tools
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
• Work closely with construction team members to complete projects on schedule and to quality standards
• Help identify and solve jobsite challenges as they arise

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in hardscaping, paver installation, concrete, landscape construction, or general construction
• Strong understanding of construction tools, materials, and terminology
• Ability to read and follow measurements, layouts, and project plans
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship
• Dependable and reliable work habits
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
• Willingness to learn swimming pool construction methods and specialized equipment
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Experience with swimming pools is welcomed but not required.
