Job description

Job Summary:

Assists guests at pool facilities with towels, seating, etc. Maintains the cleanliness and organization of supplies, equipment, and work areas. Ensures guest safety and enjoyment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Monitors guest activity in assigned work area, being alert to any signs of trouble. Ensures safety of guests and enforcement of pool rules and beach precautions according to department standards. Reports any unauthorized persons in the pool area to management.
  2. Greets and acknowledges guests, answers department telephone.
  3. Sets up pool furniture, cabanas, towels, and umbrellas.
  4. Distributes and retrieves towels for guests. Collects dirty towels left on chairs and in pool/beach areas. Maintains the area in a clean and neat manner at all times.
  5. Must have full knowledge of all NEXCOM Hospitality Group (NHG) facilities and services, hours of operation, equipment, and services available for guests at the pool facility.
  6. Maintains positive guest relations at all times. Provides assistance in handling guest complaints involving management when necessary.
  7. Monitors and maintains cleanliness, equipment sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. Removes trash as needed.
  8. Measures pool and Jacuzzi chemical readings at scheduled times and adds designated chemicals when needed.
  9. Inventories supplies and equipment levels, reports shortages to Supervisor.
  10. Cleans, vacuums, and brushes the pool. Checks filter, heaters, and pumps to ensure equipment is in proper working order.
  11. Follows maintenance program and cleaning schedule. Adheres to all safety and sanitation regulations for the pool facility.
  12. Documents maintenance needs on work orders and submits to the Manager.
  13. Cleans and returns recreational rental equipment to proper storage. Aligns lounge chairs to specified positions.
  14. Completes closing duties and paperwork, including setting up pool closed sign, cleaning furniture, removing trash and debris, securing storage areas, returning dirty towels to laundry, and documenting in log book.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Effort:

Exert physical effort in transporting up to 50 pounds, may remain in stationary position for extended periods, and endure various physical movements throughout the work area.

Working Conditions:

Works under variable temperature conditions, including extreme heat or cold, outdoors or indoors. May be exposed to noise, fumes, odors, hazards, dust, chemicals, and other environmental factors. Must be 18 years of age or older.
