Job summary

Aquatics Academy is seeking experienced swim instructors to teach our students how to swim. Instructors with strong backgrounds and reliable attendance will be offered 4 hour shifts. Most classes are Sundays 11am–3pm and weekdays 4pm–8pm.

Substitute instructors are also needed. Training equipment provided; holidays and snow days paid if on schedule. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of instructor experience, can work autonomously, and will pass a standard background check including photo

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of instructor experience required.
• Teach semi-private and private classes; no large groups.
• Most students aged 3–10 years.
• Background check required; copy of photo ID, SSN card, and certifications needed.
• CPR/AED and First Aid must be up to date.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming lessons and monitor student progress.
• Ensure a safe, warm environment with pool temperatures around 86–88°F.
• Maintain reliable attendance and follow scheduled shifts.
• Assist with substitute coverage as needed.

About the Job:

Aquatics Academy is looking for experienced swim instructors with at least 3 years of instructor experience to teach our students how to swim. Instructors with strong backgrounds and reliable attendance will be offered 4 hour shifts. Typical swim times are Sundays 11am-3pm and 4pm-8pm Monday to Thursday. We are also looking for substitute instructors.

Job Details:

• Very warm, comfortable pools averaging 86-88 degrees.
• Teaching semi-private and private classes, no large groups.
• Most students are between 3 and 10 years old.
• All training equipment is provided. Additional gear provided upon your request.
• Holidays and snow days are paid when they fall on your regular work schedule.
• Pay scale is $32.50 / hour 1099 with set hours. Pay is not affected by students attendance or class size.
• Pay scale is $37.50 / hour 1099 when substituting.
• Rolling schedule for students means you get to develop and stay with your students as they advance levels (no session-style schedules).
• Year-round position (not seasonal).
• We do a standard background check. Copy of your photo ID, SS card and certifications are required. CPR/AED and First Aid must be brought up to date if not already.
