Job summary

YMCA at Sumner County is hiring a Swim Team Coach to lead practices, provide feedback, and foster a safe, fun environment for swimmers. This part-time role involves organizing meets and building strong relationships with participants and parents.

The ideal candidate has proficiency in all four competitive strokes and coaching or team administration experience is a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and CPR/First Aid training will be supported after hire.

Position Type: Part-time

Pay Range starts at $15.00 per hour (or more depending on experience)

Are you passionate about swimming and love inspiring others to achieve their goals? The YMCA of Middle TN is looking for a Swim Team Coach who’s ready to lead, motivate, and make waves in the lives of our swim team participants.

As a Swim Team Coach , you’ll guide swimmers through practices, provide feedback, and ensure a safe, fun, and engaging environment. Plus, you’ll be our go-to for organizing swim meets and building strong relationships with participants and parents.

What You’ll Need to Join the Team:

• Proficiency in all four competitive strokes
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Coaching and team admin experience (a plus, but not required)

Certifications to Get Started (don’t worry, we’ll help!):

• CPR Pro/AED/First Aid (within 30 days of hire)
• YMCA Principles of Competitive Swimming and Diving (within 90 days)
• USA Swim Coaching membership (within one year)
