The YMCA of the Roses is looking for a Swim Team Assistant Coach to foster a safe and welcoming aquatic environment. Responsibilities include overseeing safety, coaching swim teams, and ensuring compliance with YMCA policies. Candidates must have relevant coaching experience and hold necessary certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.
• No less than 1 year experience coaching similar Swim Teams.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification, Lifeguarding and/or Coach's Safety Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and positive atmosphere for all individuals.
• Promote and maintain safety of all aquatic facility users.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Swim Team Assistant Coach at the YMCA of the Roses creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintaining the safety of all aquatic facility users in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

· Minimum age of 18

· No less than 1 year experience coaching similar Swim Teams

· Certifications: CPR/AED/First Aid Certification, Lifeguarding and/or Coach's Safety Certification

· USA and YMCA coach certification within 1 month of hire

· Obtain a state police clearance, a child abuse clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance

· Obtain Mandated Reporter Clearance

· Complete all required trainings within 1 month of hire
