Job summary

Silverlake "The Family Place" is seeking a Swimming Instructor to lead classes and supervise events in a safe, fun setting. You will follow lesson plans, mentor students, and communicate with parents to discuss progress and needs.

The role requires strong swim knowledge, CPR/First Aid certifications, and the ability to enforce safety standards while motivating participants to build confidence and skill in the water.

Qualifications

• Must hold SwimAmerica Level 1 to teach specified classes.
• Level 2 certification required to teach the classes.
• CPR/AED certification for professional rescuer required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of children in the class at all times
• Teach skills according to lesson plans
• Maintain facility appearance and cleanliness
• Greet students and communicate with parents
• Attend staff meetings and submit class reports
