Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years and ability to relate to diverse groups.
• Must obtain YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor Certification.
• Current or must obtain ASHI CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen, and related trainings before first shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead swim lessons following YMCA standards.
• Maintain attendance and progress records.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and prepare gear.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Report safety concerns and policy violations.
