Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Hudson, OH is hiring a Swim Instructor to teach children ages 4 months to 12 years in our 90-degree indoor pool using the Goldfish curriculum. You will deliver engaging, safety-first lessons, maintain pool safety, and help families build confidence.

We provide paid training, flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement; join a fun, high-energy team committed to kids' development and life-saving skills.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Promote a positive environment that fosters fun, safety, and learning.
• Treat every student fairly and equally regardless of circumstances or abilities while encouraging confidence and enjoyment.
• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Evaluate student progress and complete required documentation in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Teach children ages 4 months to 12 years in our warm, 90-degree indoor pool using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Ensure the safety of swim lesson students at all times.
• Maintain and properly store pool equipment and teaching tools.
• Assist with light cleaning duties including deck mopping and trash removal as needed.
• Attend required trainings and cross-train for additional responsibilities.

General Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation

• Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled shifts
• Be dependable and committed to assigned schedules
• Ensure the safety of swim lesson students at all times
• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
• Evaluate student progress and complete required documentation in a timely manner
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student development and progress while acting as a Goldfish Swim School ambassador
• Use creative thinking and problem-solving skills to support student success
• Inspect pool areas before and after classes for cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns
• Maintain and properly store pool equipment including lane lines and teaching tools
• Assist with light cleaning duties including deck mopping, window washing, and trash removal as needed
• Attend required trainings, workshops, and in-service meetings
• Cross-train and assist in additional responsibilities as assigned by management
