Job summary

Big Blue Swim School in Sterling Heights is hiring a part-time Swim Instructor to work hands-on with young swimmers, building confidence and teaching water safety using our curriculum in a warm pool environment.

You'll lead small groups, provide positive reinforcement, and track progress while communicating with families; no prior teaching experience is required as we provide comprehensive training and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Loves teaching kids and helping them grow.
• Available weeknights and one weekend day.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• No prior swim teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

At Big Blue Swim School, we're creating big moments for families across Michigan at our Sterling Heights location and we're looking for energetic, positive team members to grow with us in our state-of-the-art facility.

What You'll Do As a Big Blue Instructor

As a Big Blue Swim Instructor, you'll work hands-on with young swimmers, helping them build confidence, learn proper swimming techniques, and develop essential water safety skills. Using our best in class curriculum, you'll teach lessons in a warm, welcoming pool while creating a fun, encouraging environment filled with high-fives, smiles, and splashes.

You'll lead small group lessons, provide positive reinforcement, and help each child progress at their own pace. You'll also communicate with families about swimmer progress and be supported every step of the way through ongoing training and a collaborative, upbeat team.

No prior swim teaching experience is required, we'll teach you everything you need to succeed.
