Description:

As a FOSS Swim Instructor (also known as Swim Teacher), you will create memorable experiences for children of all ages by teaching vital water safety skills in a fun, engaging, and safe environment.

If you have a passion for water, share your love of swimming with your community, and FOSS will provide the necessary training to confidently teach our Swim Path curriculum. This role involves leading students in a structured yet enjoyable water environment to develop skills that foster confidence and safety around water. Our Learn to Swim program offers the chance to instruct a diverse range of ages and skill levels, making swimming a safe and enjoyable activity. Job Details: Part-time (minimum 12 hours/week)

Shift Types:

• Weekday Evening Shifts (around 3:00 pm or 3:30 pm)
• Weekend Shifts (additional $3/hour pay)
• Substitute Shifts (additional $1/hour pay)

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage small classes of 1-4 students, providing hands-on instruction following the FOSS Swim Path curriculum, promoting safety, and teaching life skills.
• Create a safe, engaging, and educational experience similar to working in childcare settings.
• Build partnerships and communicate progress with parents or guardians.
• Support and demonstrate our four Cultural Pillars: Connect, Collaborate, Empower, Belong.
• Bring laughter, smiles, and fun!

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Comfortable working in a pool environment.
• Availability to work at least 12 hours per week.
• Positive attitude and high energy.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with children is preferred.
• Aquatic background is a plus but not required.
