Job summary

Nazareth YMCA in Nazareth, PA is seeking dedicated Swim Instructors. We offer part-time hourly roles (5 hours minimum weekly) and full-time opportunities (40 hours weekly), with weekday days, evenings and weekends.

Ideal candidates are 15+ with a love for teaching children to swim, able to pass American Red Cross CPR, and ready to follow our lesson plans. Training is provided and no prior teaching experience is required.

Qualifications

• Age 15+ and experience with kids; passion for teaching children to swim.
• Ability to pass American Red Cross CPR Certification.
• Ability to complete our in-water skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead group and private swim lessons according to YMCA plans.
• Set up and clean equipment for lessons.
• Communicate progress with participants and guardians.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment for students.
• Collaborate with aquatics staff, lifeguards, and supervisors.
• Attend staff trainings and in-service meetings.
