Job summary

HFSS Goodyear is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach swimming in accordance with HFSS safety standards and curriculum, while safeguarding every swimmer’s safety and progress.

You will greet families and staff, prepare lessons, communicate progress to the Deck Supervisor, and ensure equipment and pool areas are clean and safe.

Flexible with hours, including evenings and weekends, and committed to HFSS core values of teamwork, service, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• At least two years of high school education.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Emotional maturity and enjoyment of water.
• Instruct in the pool for up to 5 hours per day.
• Interest in youth character development.
• One year of experience with youth or related fields preferred.
• Supports HFSS four Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming per HFSS curriculum and safety standards.
• Greet swimmers, parents and staff, building positive relationships.
• Prepare lessons and track student progress with the Deck Supervisor.
• Maintain pool and teaching equipment, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with staff meetings and staff development as scheduled.
• Arrive 15 minutes early for scheduled instruction periods.
