YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley is seeking a Swim Instructor to ensure safety and deliver high-quality swimming instruction following YMCA guidelines. You will evaluate student progress, document attendance and incidents, and prepare lesson plans for each session.

The role emphasizes patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate young swimmers while communicating effectively with students and parents about progress and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of all participants in and around the pool area.
• Follow YMCA Aquatic Program guidelines for all lessons.
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback; complete attendance, progress, and accident reports.
• Prepare and follow lesson plans for each swim instruction lesson.
• Maintain and store teaching equipment; assist lifeguard during emergencies.
