Job summary

SwimLabs The Woodlands is seeking a dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team. You will provide high-quality swimming instruction to students of all ages, developing lesson plans and promoting water safety in a supportive learning environment.

This part-time role emphasizes working with children, communicating with families about progress, and staying current with safety practices. Prior lifeguard or coaching experience is desirable; flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement are

Qualifications

• Previous lifeguard experience is highly desirable.
• Background in sports coaching or teaching is preferred.
• Ability to speak confidently with children and adults.
• Understanding of childcare principles is an asset.
• Experience in health clubs or gyms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups, adapting instruction to meet the needs of each student.
• Develop engaging lesson plans that follow the proven SafeSplash curriculum.
• Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
• Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and maintaining a safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress, concerns, and achievements.
• Collaborate with other instructors to create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on best practices in swim instruction and safety.
