Job summary

City of Hilliard seeks a dedicated Swim Instructor to deliver group and private lessons, following the city curriculum and ensuring safety from start to end of class. You will act as the on-site point of contact for swim lesson operations, coordinating with guardians and staff to maintain smooth sessions.

The role requires teaching infants to adults, using age-appropriate plans, attending trainings, and upholding high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Age 15 or older.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED certification required.
• Background check clean of felony convictions.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends and some holidays.
• Swim Instructors must complete in-service training for the current season.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and private swim lessons following the curriculum.
• Ensure safety and welfare of participants and guardians in class.
• Serve as main on-site contact for swim lesson operations.
• Assist with scheduling, training and evaluation of the program.
• Demonstrate and explain skills using lesson plans; maintain records and reports.
• Maintain facility and equipment; adhere to health and safety standards.
• Promote excellent customer service at all levels of operations.
