Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead swim instruction sessions in accordance with YMCA standards and guidelines.
• Ensure safety by communicating and enforcing pool rules, policies, and guidelines.
• Train participants in a manner that is both demonstrative and professional.
• Set up and store needed equipment.
• Begin and end every session on time.
• Take attendance of class each time class is held.
• Provide excellent member service.
• Promote aquatics and other YMCA programs.
• Communicate any concerns or incidents to supervisor.
• Communicate any suggestions to improve the aquatics facility.
• Know and administer the appropriate EAP for any situation.
• Complete incident and accident reports as required.
• Know the names of members and use their names when speaking with them.
