Job summary

Aqua-Tots Swim Schools is hiring Swim Instructors at our Conshohocken/Horsham area location. You will teach and coach swim lessons in our indoor 90-degree pool, working with up to four children per class, ages 4 months to 12 years, to build life-saving skills, confidence, and joy in the water.

We provide comprehensive training, CPR and First Aid certification, and ongoing development. Starting pay is $18 per hour with regular raises; part-time hours with potential for full-time.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old to apply.
• No previous experience required; training provided.
• Year-round positions with a minimum of 3 shifts per week.

Our Conshohocken Location will be Opening September 27th. All training will start early September and will be done at our Aqua-Tots Horsham location at 307 Horsham Rd. Horsham, PA 19044.

Schedule Requirements

• Minimum of 3 shifts per week:
• At least2 weekday afternoon/evening shifts(3:30–8:30 PM) AND
• 1 weekend shift– Saturday OR Sunday (8:30 AM–1:30 PM).

Physical & Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be comfortable working in a 90-degree heated indoor pool for the duration of each shift
• Must be comfortable working hands-on with children ages 4 months to age 12.
• Must be able to learn a comprehensive curriculum
• Must be comfortable working in a warm, humid, temperature-controlled pool room environment
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with time constraints
• Must be comfortable being in the water for extended periods of time during each shift
• Must be comfortable getting face, hair, and body wet daily
• Must be able to safely enter and exit a 4-foot-deep pool repeatedly, sometimes without the use of a railing
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 30 pounds
• Must be able to lift, remove, and reposition lane lines
• Must be able to lift, remove, and replace pool covers
• Must be able to assist with light cleaning duties, including wiping down surfaces, organizing equipment, and maintaining cleanliness standards
• Must be able to assist with facility upkeep tasks, such as washing windows
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, reach, and move quickly when assisting children in the water
• Strong physical stamina and energy to teach multiple back-to-back classes
• Must be able to demonstrate swim skills and safely support children in the water
• Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certification (training provided) (Horsham location only)
• Must be able to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations
• Must have strong communication skills when speaking with parents about student progress
• Must be able to attend staff meetings and in-service trainings.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
