Job summary

SafeSplash in Connecticut is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach swimming skills within our SafeSplash curriculum in a fun, encouraging environment.

You will provide ongoing positive feedback, structure classes for repetition and progressive skill-building, and ensure swimmer safety while fostering a love of the water. Training is available; CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred and we offer support to obtain them within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Previous swim instruction is preferred but we are happy to train you.
• Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer and infant preferred but we will help you get certified in 60 days of hire.
• Special consideration given to instructors with experience teaching swimmers age 6 months to 10 years and Special Needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills in accordance with SafeSplash curriculum in a fun, positive manner
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts
• Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills
• Ensure swimmer safety
