Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - Danbury, CT is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach water safety and proper swimming techniques using our curriculum. This on-site role reports to the Deck Supervisor and is non-exempt.

You will lead instructional classes, enforce safety policies, and maintain pool areas. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and hold lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, with two+ years teaching swimming.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.
• Certified lifeguard with CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provides swim instruction based on Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Enforces safety rules and provides first aid when necessary.
• Evaluates student progress and completes required paperwork.
• Interacts with parents/guardians on child development.
• Maintains pool area and equipment; reports issues to management.
• Performs deck duties and light cleaning as needed.
• Attends mandatory workshops and training outside regular hours.
• Fulfills additional duties as assigned by employer.
