Job summary

Speer YMCA in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to lead swim lessons and promote water safety for all ages. You will provide direct instruction, motivation, and safe learning experiences in line with YMCA standards.

Qualifications include being at least 16, available for evenings/weekends, and possessing or pursuing relevant certifications. In-house training is available and a Level 2 background check is required. Position offers hourly pay and YMCA membership perks.

Qualifications

• Current certifications in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, and Swim Instructor training are a plus.
• In-house training is available for qualified candidates.
• Ability to demonstrate proper swim instruction techniques and safely lift equipment.
• Pass a 10-panel urinalysis drug screening.
• Clear a Level 2 background check.

Job Title: Swim Instructor at Speer YMCA

The Y is the nation's largest provider of swim lessons, dedicated to improving water safety and swimming skills for all ages. As a part-time Swim Instructor, you'll provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for participants in our swim classes.
