Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is looking for a Swim Instructor to teach children ages 4 months to 12 years the joy of swimming in a safe and fun environment. With full training provided, you will need to be willing to work weekends and engage with kids while maintaining a positive attitude. This position not only builds valuable experience but also offers leadership opportunities, health benefits, and paid training to prepare you for success.

Qualifications

• Age 15+ required.
• Must get Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students on water safety and swim techniques.
• Work in water for 3-4 hours some shifts.
• Engage children in a fun learning environment.

Job description

Requirements:

• Ability to work with children, no formal swim experience required, full training provided
• Must be willing to work in the water for 3-4 hours on some shifts
• Must be able to work 1 weekend day (Saturday or Sunday- 4 hour shift) and some evenings (until 7:30)
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• MUST WANT TO HAVE FUN!
• Ellis Lifeguard Certification required within the first 90 days of hire. (We provide In-House certification)

Full Time:

• 30 Hours or more (up to 40 available)
• Set work schedule, with changes quarterly to accommodate for class schedules if needed

Job Title: Swim Instructor

Reports to: Deck Supervisor/Pool Operations Manager/AGM/GM

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Instructs students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.

Certificates and Licenses: Training available on site. Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within 90 days of hire.
