A leading swim school in Elmhurst is seeking an Entry Level Swim Instructor to help teach kids how to swim and ensure their safety in and around water. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a desire to work with children, and be ready for fun training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

Full Time:
• 20 Hours or more
• Set work schedule, with changes quarterly to accommodate for class schedules if needed

Part Time:

Requirements:
• Ability to work with children
• Previous swimming experience but not required (We will train the right candidate!)
• Must be willing to work in the water for 3-4 hours on some shifts
• Must be able to work 1 weekend day (Saturday or Sunday- 4 hour shift) and some evenings (until 7:30)
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Must pass background checks (included with training)
• MUST WANT TO HAVE FUN!
• Ellis Lifeguard Certification required within the first 90 days of hire. (We provide In-House certification)

Reports to: Deck Supervisor/Pool Operations Manager/AGM/GM

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Instructs students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.

Certificates and Licenses: Training available on site. Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within 90 days of hire. Shallow water attendant highly recommended.
