Responsibilities:

• Teach swim classes according to British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons and environment.
• Commitment to working weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as mornings, afternoons, and evenings on weekends, to align with schedules that best accommodate children and parents.

Requirements

• Spend a significant amount of time in the water to teach and guide instructors.
• Passionate about working with children. A fun, outgoing, and confident personality to engage children with creative teaching methods, clear communication, patience, enthusiasm, and strong leadership while ensuring water safety.

Preferred Qualifications but nor required at the time of hiring:

• Experience working with children and/or parents, but not required.
• Swimming experience: 1-2 years preferred but not required.
• Customer service skills: 1 year preferred but not required.
• Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained during training).
• Experience in creating and managing engaging social media content.

A Swim Instructor at British Swim School teaches swim lessons to children and adults, starting at 3 months old using our fun, gentle and progressive methods. You will receive extensive training to build your confidence and ability to work with a variety of swimmers and abilities. Having fun and interacting with our swimmers is an important part of the role! A strong focus is placed on providing survival swim techniques living out the British Swim School mission and making a big impact on decreasing drowning.
