Job summary

Alligator Steps Swim School is seeking passionate Swim Instructors to join our team at our year-round indoor facility. You will teach swimming lessons to individuals and small groups while prioritizing water safety and a positive learning environment.

We offer paid, comprehensive training, opportunities for growth, and a flexible schedule. You will work with families to track progress and maintain accurate attendance records in a climate-controlled setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in swimming, lifeguard, or related aquatic field preferred but not required; paid training provided.
• Passion for working with children and a patient, enthusiastic attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass a background check and in-water swim test.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification is a plus; assistance to get certified available.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming lessons to individuals and small groups of various ages and skill levels.
• Ensure the safety of all students in and around the pool at all times.
• Create a positive, fun, and encouraging learning environment.
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and parents on progress.
• Maintain attendance and progress records.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions.

Alligator Steps is a premier, family-owned swim school dedicated to teaching water safety and swimming skills in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Our indoor facility allows us to teach year-round, offering consistent work and a stable schedule for our team members. We believe in providing the highest quality instruction while making every lesson a positive and rewarding experience for our students and staff.

Swim Instructor Duties:

• Teach swimming lessons to individuals and small groups of various ages and skill levels.
