Job summary

Samena Swim & Recreation Club in Bellevue, WA is seeking a swim instructor to teach group lessons for ages 2–13 and follow the Samena curriculum. Instructors will train on-site and ensure a fun, safe environment with clear guidance and positive reinforcement.

Responsibilities include delivering lessons per training, maintaining pool safety, documenting progress, and providing excellent member service. Training is provided for certifications and safety procedures, with a regular, consistent

Qualifications

• Current American Red Cross Certifications (or equivalent)
• Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED training is required
• Strong communication skills are essential for both instruction and customer service
• Previous swimming experience is preferred; paid training is provided
• Excellent customer service skills and professional conduct are expected

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to the standard taught in instructor training
• Caution swimmers regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards in a friendly and helpful manner
• Follow emergency action plan and procedures in emergencies
• Maintain order in the pool and adjoining areas
• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests
• Write quality report cards for swim lesson students
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Aquatic Director and Aquatics Program Manager, a swim instructor will teach group lessons to students aged 2-13 and follow Samena’s swim curriculum.
