Job summary

Big Blue Swim School in Saratoga Springs, UT is hiring part-time Swim Associates to provide engaging swimming instruction to children. No prior swim experience is required as paid training is provided.

You’ll work on a team with opportunities for growth and a supportive environment. Responsibilities include teaching according to approved lesson plans, ensuring safety, communicating with families, assisting at the front desk, and participating in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• No previous swim experience required
• Loves teaching kids and helping them grow
• Wants to have fun
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods of time
• Ability to work in the water for 15-25 hours per week
• Must be willing to work weeknights and at least one weekend day
• Must possess ability to communicate and respond to student and customer interactions
• Lifeguard/CPR Certification (this can be obtained during training at Big Blue)

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students following approved training methodology and lesson plans
• Create a fun environment for students that is focused on learning
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and emergency procedures
• Evaluate and report student progress using approved criteria
• Communicate in a professional and effective manner in order to provide a high level of service during all customer interactions
• Assist with front desk responsibilities as well as maintain a clean facility
• Attend ongoing training as scheduled
• Represent Big Blue Swim School with a high level of professionalism and conduct in the workplace
• Other duties as assigned

We offer Swim Associates:

• Competitive Pay: Our new employees earn $14.00 per hour and $15.00 per hour for additional shifts.
