Ten Mile is hiring a self-motivated Full-Time Sweeper Truck Driver. Shifts are typically 12 hours; you will operate a sweeper truck, keep the vehicle clean, and perform daily inspections. The role requires safety focus, ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and nights as needed. Training is available for motivated applicants.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• CDL not required but a plus.
• 2 years of experience operating company vehicles.
• Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check.
• Ability to maintain a Medical Examiner's Certificate for DOT vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operate sweeper truck safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck interior and exterior.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and document results.
• Wear PPE in designated areas and follow safety policies.
• Be willing to work holidays, weekends, and nights as needed.
• Work overtime when required.
• Report to work at designated start time.
• Display professional, courteous attitude to customers and co-workers.
• Follow manager directions for daily tasks on each jobsite.
• Perform general labor duties as assigned.

Job description

Ten Mile is looking to hire a self-motivated and career-driven Full-Time Sweeper Truck Driver. Scheduled work days are generally in 12 hour increments. Individual must be able to operate truck in a safe and efficient manor as well as maintain a clean truck (both inside and out) of which is assigned. Willing to train motivated applicants. Starting rate from $19-$21 an hour.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have valid drivers license, CDL not necessary but a plus;
• 2 years previous experience operating company vehicles;
• Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and criminal background check;
• Ability to maintain a Medical Examiner's Certificate for DOT vehicles;
• Be willing to work holidays, weekends and nightswhen necessary;
• Ability to work overtime when required;
• Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment;
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook;
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas;
• Perform daily inspections of vehicles with appropriate documentation;
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to customers, co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times;
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required;
• Must keep company vehiclesin a clean and orderly condition;
• Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite;
• Able to work in all weather conditions;
• Perform general labor duties when necessary;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Environment

This position will require working outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold with rain to very hot and humid. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high, with occasional periods of time exposed to machine noise.
