Job Description Summary

The Multimedia Content Reviewer will write and review linguistic content in a native language to ensure high accuracy for customers using multimedia platforms. Over time, the reviewer will become a cultural ambassador for their language market, producing fully localized content and identifying potential cultural issues, suggesting modifications to ensure content is appropriate and relevant for target markets.

The ideal candidate has a background in journalism or a similar field, proven creative writing skills, and a keen eye for detail. Candidates passionate about music, film, tech, and familiar with iOS and Mac OS devices are preferred.

Main Duties

1. Localize, translate, and adapt content across various categories (multimedia, legal, technical, marketing) following style guides.
2. Create new copy for multimedia products such as music, TV, app store apps, video on-demand, and gaming services.
3. Perform linguistic reviews of own work and that of team members for all content types.
4. Copy-edit and fact-check content for accuracy.
5. Conduct Localization QA testing on live platform content.
6. Research market-specific content trends, terminology, and localization best practices.
7. Transcribe spoken content like lyrics.
8. Report on media assets and data across content types.
9. Create training materials and ensure team members are trained on terminology, style, and best practices.
10. Collaborate with global teams via virtual meetings and emails to ensure consistency and market insights.

Requirements

• BS/BA and 2+ years in journalism, copywriting, or media content editing, with writing samples.
• Experience in multimedia content translation and localization.
• Ability to identify issues quickly and make sound judgments.
• Extensive knowledge of music artists, TV, cinema, gaming, and pop culture.
• Ability to own language market and make confident linguistic decisions.
• Highly detail-oriented with multitasking, prioritization, and deadline skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong computer skills; knowledge of iOS/macOS is a plus.
• Capable of typing in native language using an English keyboard.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Team-oriented and comfortable in a multicultural environment.
