The role:
Our client is looking for a skilled Kubernetes Operator Specialist to collaborate with their engineers and design custom operators. You'll play a key role in developing tools to manage the deployment and maintenance of BEARHYDE CCE, a critical service for data compliance needs. This role involves creating a containerized service that customers can easily provision and use on-demand within a Kubernetes cluster.


What you'll need:

  1. BS + seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in similar roles; experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for degrees.

Experience with:

  1. Linux CLI; writing Bash/Python scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows
  2. Java application development in a Linux environment
  3. SQL technologies such as PostgreSQL
  4. NoSQL technologies such as Elasticsearch
  5. Containerization technologies such as Docker
  6. Helm Charts and Kubernetes operators to automate the management of complex applications throughout their lifecycle
  7. Git Version Control System

Nice to haves:

  1. Experience with the Atlassian Tool suite (Jira, Confluence)
  2. Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
  3. Experience providing customer outreach and troubleshooting support
  4. Experience with CI/CD concepts, principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab

Clearance requirement: TS/SCI w/FS Poly REQUIRED for consideration. No CCAs, sponsorships or upgrades.


Location/telework: Onsite work is located in Annapolis Junction, MD (NBP) with up to 16 hours of telework (dependent on position).


For qualified candidates: salaries can top 200k with an extra week of PTO, new computer, 10% contribution to 401k provided (no matching necessary), and fully-paid health insurance.
