Job summary

Sense in Midland, TX is seeking a Project Engineer/Coordinator with 8-15 years of upstream and midstream oil & gas experience in West Texas and New Mexico. The base location is Midland, TX, and the role focuses on coordinating field verifications, testing, and interfacing with Operations, Maintenance, Water, and Engineering teams to optimize SWD capacity and minimize operational disruptions.

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas Upstream and Midstream Industry.
• Strong coordination across multiple interfaces to align a comprehensive plan.
• Experience in West Texas and New Mexico region is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Operations teams to validate tank battery produced water and SWD well capacities and organize field verifications.
• Consolidate testing results into a summary report for the Water Planning team to document asset capacities.
• Interface with Operations, Maintenance, Water, and Engineering teams to suggest maintenance/upgrades that unlock additional water handling capacity.

• The base location of this position is Midland, TX

Position Description

• Coordinate with Operations teams to validate tank battery produced water and salt water disposal (SWD) well capacities. This will require field verifications and organizing site rate tests with operations, looking for opportunities to minimize disruptions to day to day operations
• Consolidate testing results and findings into a summary report for the Water Planning team to document asset capacities to be assumed in future planned produced water mass balances.
• Interface with Operations, Maintenance, Water, and Engineering teams to suggest maintenance/upgrades that will unlock additional water handling capacity

Skills Required

• Strong coordination skills as individual will need to manage multiple interfaces on Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance teams to build and align a comprehensive plan.

Min. Qualifications

• Engineering Degree in Mechanical, or Equivalent with a minimum of 8-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas Upstream and Midstream Industry
