Job summary

Rapport International is seeking qualified in-person interpreters for the Omaha area, Nebraska. The role is PRN and part-time for bilingual interpreters to serve local clients with flexible hours.

Interpreters must have transportation for local appointments and be comfortable with medical terminology and HIPAA compliance. We are looking for candidates who can provide Swahili interpretation and are able to use an online portal for vouchers.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual and able to interpret accurately across languages.

• In-person interpreting only; must have transportation to attend local appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for local Nebraska clients (Omaha area).
• Work as an independent contractor with flexible, PRN hours.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with client health and safety requirements.
• Attend appointments in person and use the online portal to manage vouchers.

As a busy interpreting service provider, we are seeking to onboard hard-working, fully-bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients. We have an immediate need for Swahili interpreters in the Omaha area.

Requirements

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/ HIPPA compliance
• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.

Please note, this is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken and client needs.
