Job summary

Woodward Inc. is seeking skilled Operations Technicians for the Loves Park, IL location to support servo line production. The role offers first shift hours (Mon-Thu 4:30am-3:00pm with overtime on Fridays) and a path for growth through training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, logging process data, performing inspections, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while supporting multiple product lines such as servo valves, actuators, and pumps.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing assembly and/or testing on similar components.
  • Proficiency with and use of hand tools and inspection/measurement equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of reading mechanical blueprints, drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Follow documented procedures to produce products using specified tools and equipment.
  • Observe and log key process variables to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify product accuracy and functionality.
  • Maintain 5S and clean workstations; ensure proper storage of tools and materials.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment.

Woodward is looking to bring on skilled, motivated and driven Operations Technicians that are ready to showcase their talent. Join our amazing 1st shift (Monday-Thursday 4:30am-3:00pm & Overtime on Fridays) production teams at our Loves Park Campus on our new servo line, where innovation, precision, and quality are at the heart of everything we do. This role will provide support and operations in products such as servo valves, actuators, fuel metering units, specialty valves or pumps. Training shift for the first 2 weeks: Mon-Fri, 7am - 3:30pm
Training starting week 3: Mon-Thurs 4:30am-3:00pm
Level 1:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations: Follows documented procedures toaccurately and efficiently produce products using specified tools and equipment. Flexes and supports the full product line in various processes/ capacities.
  • Process:Observesand records key process variables to ensure consistency and quality in operations. Accurately logs daily operations and resolves or escalates concerns. Follows standard operating procedures.

Additional Information:

Moderate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects. Successful candidates typically have:
  • Previous assembly experience preferred
  • Proven mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in a manufacturing industry performing assembly and/or testing in on similar components
  • Proficiency with and in using a variety of hand tools and inspection and measurement equipment
  • Strong knowledge and/or capability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
