Responsibilities

• Assist in improving exam efficiency and elevating patient experience.
• Communicate with the retail office management and staff.
• Prepare the clinic day with strong organizational skills.
• Perform refraction and related eye measurements.
• Review case history including current medical conditions.
• Administer non-contact tonometry and visual tests.
• Conduct OCT testing and fundus photography.
• Perform eye drop instillation and other procedures as directed by the OD.

The Ophthalmic Technician provides clinical support for the Doctor of Optometry (OD) to increase patient satisfaction and elevate exam efficiency. This position reports to the Professional Services Department.
