Job summary

Publicis Groupe in New York is seeking a SVP Group Account Director to lead the integrated account team for Walmart, shaping culture and delivering innovative work. You will guide a large, cross-disciplinary group of account managers and creators across five+ agencies.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of senior client leadership, a track record of transformative campaigns, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment with strong collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• At least 15+ years of experience and demonstrated growth as an Account leader on large, complex clients.
• Clear examples of leadership on a large-scale campaign with innovative outputs and/or client partnership focused on digital transformation.
• Passion for working at the speed of retail is a must.
• This role will be based out of the NYC area; in office presence is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.

• Be a thought leader and lead our team by example, directing and inspiring your team to meet and exceed all expectations.
• Act as a brand steward – you are the client’s go-to for opportunities and challenges.
• Be open to ideas and insights from across the DeptW team and partners, with multi-cultural fluency.
• Foster high emotional intelligence and navigate a complex organization with internal and external relationships.
• Nurture and grow the account team and build client management as a core competency for junior and mid-level talent.
• Direct internal teams with confidence and clarity, inspiring collaboration to solve challenges.
• Navigate DeptW Power of One and deliver outstanding creative solutions for briefs across multiple agencies.
• Guide the full creative process from strategy to production with practical problem-solving.
• Handle difficult conversations and ambiguous situations with transparency and critical thinking.
• Foresee issues and head them off, easing pressure on the team and elevating when needed.
• Maintain an entrepreneurial mindset to translate client needs into growth opportunities.
