SVP / EVP, Development Location: South Florida (South Florida based or willing to relocate)

Sector: Luxury residential and hospitality development

A confidential search on behalf of one of South Florida's most ambitious developers of ultra-luxury branded residential and hospitality product.

This is not a typical development role. The pipeline spans six active projects, ranging from large-scale branded resort developments to complex urban programmes across the US. Total development value runs to +$8bn. The person who takes this seat will own the development process end to end and lead two major developments and support team day to day.

The brief is specific. We are looking for someone who started their career in finance or investment, understands how development decisions land on the model, and has since built a track record leading major projects from early design through to completion. You know every stage of a project and what to look out for at each one. You have been in the room when things go wrong and you know how to manage investors through a difficult moment without losing their confidence.

You are hands on by instinct. Even at EVP level this is not a seat for someone who prefers to delegate and review. The product demands close involvement, an eye for detail, and the ability to anticipate problems that less experienced teams will not see coming.

What we are looking for:

Seasoned operator, with deep rooted development experience, with meaningful tenure in each role. We are not looking for someone who has sampled multiple organisations at senior level. We are looking for someone who has stayed long enough to own outcomes.

We want to know have you been at the inception through to ribbon cutting.

A career that has moved from financial analysis or investment into development leadership, covering entitlement, design management, and construction oversight across the lifecycle, is preferred.

Experience delivering complex, high-value projects in a major US market. New York, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, and equivalent institutional development markets are all relevant backgrounds. South Florida experience is not a requirement.

Genuine familiarity with luxury, branded residential, or hospitality product at scale. The details of this type of development matter and candidates who have only worked on commodity product will find the step change significant.

The ability to lead, build trust with a team, and operate with the kind of integrity that holds up under pressure.
