Job summary

Cornerstone Search Group in Boston is seeking an accomplished SVP, Clinical Operations to build, scale, and lead a rapidly growing Clinical Operations organization during a pivotal phase of pipeline advancement and organizational growth.

Reporting to the CMO, you will shape the infrastructure, operating model, and team required to support an expanding clinical portfolio while remaining hands-on to influence trial design and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced life sciences degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive clinical operations experience in pharma/biotech.
• Proven track record building, scaling, hiring, and leading Clinical Operations teams.
• Experience delivering global trials across early to late-stage programs, incl. pivotal studies.
• Desirable experience in hematology, rare diseases, or complex specialties.
• Able to operate both strategically and hands-on at the trial level.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for Clinical Operations and ensure delivery of the clinical portfolio.
• Oversee program strategy, vendor oversight, budget management, and trial design input.
• Develop and implement innovative, scalable operating models and processes.
• Establish functional excellence and reporting to senior leadership through metrics and dashboards.
• Drive alignment with corporate goals, timelines, and portfolio priorities.
• Shape culture of quality, accountability, speed, and collaboration during growth.
• Represent the company externally and manage investigator-site relationships.
