Job summary

Collective Residential is seeking a Senior Vice President, Affordable Housing Operations to build and lead a centralized platform across a growing portfolio. This executive role focuses on acquisitions integration, organizational design, and high-level compliance oversight, not daily administration.

You will partner with portfolio leaders, shape standards, and drive systems, reporting, and technology (Yardi) to scale operations across multiple states.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in affordable housing property management, operations, asset management, or a related field.
• Significant senior/executive-level responsibility.
• Strong operational leadership with a track record of building, restructuring, integrating, or scaling teams and operating platforms.
• Experience with LIHTC, HUD programs, Section 8, HOME Funds, bond-financed housing, or similar programs.
• Experience with acquisitions, M&A integration, multi-company environments, shared services, or other complex organizational integrations.
• Ability to provide senior-level compliance oversight without being focused on day-to-day compliance administration.
• Strong relationships with HUD, state housing finance agencies, syndicators, investors, auditors, and affordable housing developers.
• Experience with Yardi or comparable property management/compliance systems.

Responsibilities

• Build & lead the centralized Affordable Housing Platform across the portfolio, establishing structure, staffing, accountability, and leadership cadence.
• Lead acquisition integration and organizational development across holdings, assessing structures and operating models.
• Establish scalable operating standards, policies, reporting, and performance expectations across the portfolio.
• Provide senior-level compliance oversight of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME, and related programs.
• Lead risk management and regulatory strategy; advise executive leadership on regulatory matters.
• Represent Collective Residential with HUD, state housing finance agencies, syndicators, investors, auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Drive systems, data, reporting, and technology improvements (Yardi and similar platforms).
• Support growth, acquisitions, and new business initiatives; partner across the organization.
