Job summary

Job description

A globally recognized financial services firm is seeking an SVP to join its ABS practice in New York. This is a high-impact leadership role within a growing team that covers commercial, equipment, and esoteric assets while taking ownership of their equipment and commerical functions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a structured finance professional who wants to combine deep credit and analytical expertise with client-facing leadership at a senior level.

The Role

You will own the end-to-end credit rating process for complex commercial and equipment ABS transactions from originator due diligence through committee presentations and published rationales. You'll manage key issuer and arranger relationships, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to methodology and research initiatives that shape how the market views these asset classes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading credit analysis and rating decisions across commercial, equipment, and esoteric ABS structures
  • Conducting originator/servicer evaluations, loan pool review, cash flow modeling, and legal documentation analysis
  • Acting as primary point of contact for issuers, arrangers, and investors throughout the transaction lifecycleMentoring and developing junior team members while contributing to methodology and market research
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of structured finance experience with a strong focus on commercial and/or equipment ABS
  • Proven credit and risk analysis background.
  • Able to assess complex securitization structures and defend views in committee
  • Track record in credit ratings, investment banking, or a buy-side/sell-side structured finance role
  • Experience with cash flow modeling skills and familiarity with Intex, T-REX, or Bloomberg a plus
